Mahou Shoujo Raelyn Magica

In the universe of Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, over 5 years after the canon storyline, the world is still a bitter battleground for Witches and Puella Magi. The events of Camilla Magica have ended with Camilla, Mukuto, Akuko and Mariann mysteriously vanishing entirely. But this universe continues on. Our new heroes are Amanda Ainsdale and her group intent on erasing witches, facing a new antagonist in Maria José Pineda de León, the leader of the "Reginleiv", who is intent on burning down society and remaking it from the ashes. Inbetween all of this are several neutral girls like Linda Miller and her exchange student friend Raelyn Cullen, both of which discovered the world of Magical Girls recently. Who will be ground to dust between this covert battle of opposing ideals? Which side will succeed? Amanda's surgical strike of removing witches? Or Maria's heavyhanded approach?

Kayre, The Old World

Lyrea's southernmost continent, Kayre, has remained in the medievals for the past thousand years, with only minimal development. While the continent itself is smaller than its northern sibling, Elne, it feels vast to its inhabitants, whose fastest means of travel is by old-fashioned mount or chariot. One of its main traits is its diversity; no two nations are the same, and the continent has a vast variety of climates, from the southern tundra to the tropical islands in the north.

The Barren South

A wintery, cold wasteland is all that lies to the far South. With no overruling power in the territories, control is either non-existent, or contested for among the indigenous tribes that have the iron will to survive such treacherous conditions. The locations in the Barren South are among the most dangerous in the entire Old World.

The Xillidi Territories

The hot desert regions to the North are ruled by the Xillidi. Though their landmass is by far the vastest compared to other nations, most of it is barren, uninhabited ground ruled by dangerous creatures, secluded tribes and magnificent landmarks of nature. The territory of the Empire does stretch out into more temperate climates such as jungle and swampland on its very edges, showing the true extent of Xillidi reign in the Old World.

The Federation of the Sacred Dragon

The Federation of the Sacred Dragon rules over a large expanse of territory nestled within a massive ring of mountains, often referred to as the "Dragonspine Mountain Ring". Within territory is split between the three powers of the alliance and the sacred monks that reside at the dead center. Though huddled together between these mountains, the Federation remains one of the most exotic and wondrous places to behold in the Old World, filled with intriguing myths and sly monstrosities.

Elne, the New World

The northern continent on Lyrea, Elne, is massive. About one and a half times the size of Kayre, it's the largest continent on the world. Unlike Kayre, it has evolved into the industrial age; knowledge and technology has greatly benefitted the races dwelling upon it. That technology, and the men controlling it, find themselves hard pressed by magic, however; magic is a dire threat to Elne's stability, and many an unlikely alliance has come to be in order to stand against it.
